Barite (BaSO4, Natural Barium Sulphate) Metal Casting Crucibles

Barite is preferred as a coating material in the casting of copper anode plates, since it has a high flash point and is not soluble in water. Anode plates are cast in copper molds. In order to prevent the contact of liquid and solid copper mold, liquid barium sulfate solution is used by companies as coating material of the mold surface. Thus, as the liquid copper solidifies into an anode plate, it can be easily separated from its mold.
